Tom Sullivan is at the helm week days from 6 am till Noon.
God Has Another Plan:
I had a lot of dreams and plans for my life when I was growing up. Plans to play Major League Baseball or on the PGA Tour, but these dreams never came true. I didn't know it at the time but God had another plan. He was the one who was in control when I thought I was the one laying the plans for my future.
I have always had a love of radio broadcasting and wanted to work for a rock-n-roll station. I started working at WWII 720 AM in 1989. We were a business radio affiliate in those days. Stock market updates and the like. It wasn't really exciting stuff, but it was a foot in the door. A stepping stone, or so I thought. Well 10 years have passed and I'm still here! I praise the Lord for that!
In 1990. WWII was in financial distress. on the brink of bankruptcy. We went through a format change shortly thereafter. WWII went from business radio to Christian radio. to be honest I was not pleased with the change. At the time I was not a Christian and really had no desire to be a Bible thumper. Did I mention God had another plan? Over the next couple of years God changed me. He softened my hardened heart and I was introduced to a God who loved me even when I didn't know him or have a desire to. It took a few years of growing and asking questions and searching. In the end or should I say the beginning I gave my life to Jesus and submitted to His plan and will for my life.
I now do mornings on 720 The Rock. For the past 2 years, I have had the pleasure of ministering to the children of God at Camp Hill Correctional Facility through Second Chance Ministries. Its a great feeling to serve the Lord and encourage the Body of Christ through sharing the Gospel. I am no longer afraid or ashamed to admit that I am a believer in Gods one and only Son - Jesus Christ, my Lord and my salvation.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me to come to me and I will listen to you. "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11-13
